Il contributo intende chiarire la centralità assunta dal "pregiudizio" nell'ermeneutica contemporanea (M. Hiedegger, H.G. Gadamaer). Se nell'ambito ermeneutico il "pregiudizio" equivalòe a dare dignità filosofica fondante alla contingenza e alla storicità, l'intento del saggio è far vedere che in altri contesti della filosofia del Novecento )habermas, Arendt, Foucault)il riconosciuto valore filosofico del "pregiudizio" non coincide, come in H.-G. Gadamer, con le prese di distanza dall'illuminismo, bensì con la rielaborazione del significato filosofico della sana ragione comune, baluardo illuminista della libertà di pensiero e del confronto intersoggettivo nelle comunità politiche, scientifiche e religiose.
The term "prejudice" is analized here beginnings with the relation between contemporary philosophy and the illuminist roots of the term. The contribution aims at clarifying taken on by "prejudice" in contemporary hermeneutics (M. Heidegger and H.-G. Gadamer)) and its anti-illuminist meaning. If in the hermeneutic context the prejudice is equivalent to giving well-founded philosphical dignity to contingence, the pourpose of this essay is to shwo that in other areas of contemporary philosophy-such as the ethical-theoretical (J. Habermas), political (H. Arendt) and ethical-political (M. Foucault) - the ricognized philosophical value of "prejudice" does not coincide with the anti-illuminist aversio, but rather with the appropriation and reelaboration of the philosophical significance of sound common reason. the illuminist bulwark of freedom of thought and of the inter-subjective confrontation in political, scientific and religious communieties.
