Chi l’ha visto? Testo digitale, semiotica, rappresentazione

This article examines three papers by Dino Buzzetti on the digital edition. Over the past few years, alongside a detailed examination of current systems for representing text (and above all, the TEI schema), he has developed a complete theory of digital text. However, this theory is guided by the needs of document conservation, and by the semiotic model upon which it is based, namely the structuralism of L. Hjemslev. This semiotic model tends to disregard the pragmatic and interpretative aspects of signification, does not offer adequate solutions for representing the performative and material aspects of the document, and seeks to suppress the polysemic nature of the text in its representation.
