We describe the. first instar larva of Meloe (Eurymeloe) apenninicus, endemic to the Italian peninsula and, comparatively, triungulins of three. more species of the subgenus Eurymeloe: M. apivorus, M. ganglbaueri, misidentified in literature, and of M. mediterraneus,. incompletely described.
