Un'occasione di rilancio del sistema ricerca e alta formazione

The national and European research systems are facing the issue of specialization and qualification of their research structures. The general framework of resource availability and competition require an immediate selection based on objectives and performance levels. Italy has got good chances, if it avoids some risks: on one side vagueness and egalitarianism (an excellence reward can not be transformed into a cigar, allowed to everybody) and, on the other, the passive adhesion to models developed for foreign context, whose needs are different from ours. We must therefore point out and reach the required specificity to create in our country an effective cooperation between scientific and business world, consistent with the structure of our productive system, which is based on SME.
