The epigraphic dossier concerning Hellenistic educative practises include several tens of inscriptions, different for typology and geographical provenience: honorific decrees (for evergetes, ephebes and seldom for teachers), laws to control the education of the youngs, catalogues of boys winning prizes in cultural competitions. In the paper I examine the characteristics of those texts and their historical and cultural importance.
