The article deals with the relashionship between traditional Chinese society and culture, on one side, and, on the other, the new trends in Chinese economy leading to new institutional horizons and making Chinese legal system a vital force in developing modern China.The focus is in particular on the classification according to the theory of legals systems of modern Chinese law defining it on the basis of its traditional values and tryning to single out its principal modern attitudes.
