Walter Benjamin tra redenzione e rammemorazione, via Proust

The contribution thematizes the key role played by the Proust’s «philosophical thinking» in the elaboration of the Benjamin’s philosophy of history, moving from the epistemological perspective of a «philosophy of literature» that recognizes a intrinsic philosophical value in the literary text. The relationship between Benjamin and Proust is analyzed in its various facets, starting from the frequentation of proustian text by Benjamin as engaged in the translation of some of the Recherche volumes during the second half of the twenties. In particular they have been taken in consideration issues like the involuntary memory, the awakening, the aura and the correspondance, as well as the ethical and redemptive figure that marks the reflection of both authors.
