This article faces a current topic in the National and International scene, rich in complexity and endowed of wide spaces of epistemological and professional reflection: the quality of life of disabled people and their inclusion in the world of education. The authors, who have worked as researchers in the domain of lifelong learning and of disability for several years, are now deepening this issue first by penetrating the wide semantic and conceptual spectrum of life quality and lifelong learning, passing then to outline some important passages of the Italian legislative process of inclusion of disabled people in the Universities. The attention is always polarised on the development of a new conception of lifelong and life-wide learning that includes among its aims the one of improving the quality of life of people with any condition of disadvantage, discomfort or disability.
