L'individualizzazione didattica in rete

The results of research conducted over the past decade have clearly demonstrated the need to involve students in choosing their own learning pathway and to offer them more control over it as a whole, regardless of the field of study and the level of education in question. The modular na-ture of education, whether formal, non-formal or informal, has been affected by the spread of new technology in the social sphere, and what was once seemingly designed to be used only for entertainment has suddenly become a useful tool for cultural development. The rise of social media, at the cutting edge of Web 2.0, has also made education increasingly personal, to be decided by the end-users – the students themselves.

Dai risultati delle ricerche condotte nell’ultimo decennio è apparsa evidente la necessità di coinvolgere gli studenti nel processo decisionale dello specifico percorso di apprendimento e dare a ciascuno di loro la possibilità di controllarlo maggiormente nel suo complesso, a prescindere dal campo di studio e dal livello di scolarizzazione considerato. La modularità dell’offerta educativa - sia essa formale, non formale o informale - ha risentito dell’espansione delle nuove tecnologie in ambito sociale e ciò che sembrava relegato a mero intrattenimento è diventato improvvisamente uno strumento utile per lo sviluppo culturale. L’avanzata dei cosiddetti social, avanguardia del Web 2.0, ha fatto sì che anche l’educazione diventasse sempre più personale, cioè frutto di una scelta del fruitore finale, quindi dello stesso studente.
