Dire l’indicibile, esprimere l’ineffabile: libertà e trasgressione nella scrittura di Clarice Lispector

In Clarice Lispector's works, characters are constantly confronted with a reality made up of appearances and conventions that repress human nature and tame its instincts. The attempt to break out of the mould occurs through 'moments of revelation' that show the most authentic side of existence and lead the individual to accept the tragic human destiny. The discovery of the truth about life is not, however, only the subject of narration, but is transformed into the incessant search for forms of expression capable of grasping the deepest meaning of existence. Starting from the analysis of the meanings that these "moments of pure existence" assume in the literary production of the writer and from the interpretations proposed by a part of the critics, this article aims to highlight the way in which Clarice Lispector's writing breaks the limits of expression and affirms the freedom of the creative act.

Nelle opere di Clarice Lispector, i personaggi si confrontano costantemente con una realtà fatta di apparenze e convenzioni che reprimono la natura umana e ne domano gli istinti. Il tentativo di uscire dagli schemi avviene attraverso dei “momenti di rivelazione” che mostrano il lato più autentico dell’esistenza e conducono l’individuo ad accettare il tragico destino umano. La scoperta della verità sulla vita non è, tuttavia, soltanto oggetto della narrazione, ma si trasforma nella ricerca incessante di forme espressive in grado di cogliere il senso più profon- do dell’esistere. A partire dall’analisi dei significati che questi “istanti di pura esistenza” assumono nella produzione letteraria della scrittrice e dalle interpretazioni proposte da una parte della critica, il presente articolo si propone di mettere in luce il modo in cui la scrittura di Clarice Lispector infrange i limiti dell’espressione e afferma la libertà dell’atto creativo.
