ABSTRACT – In Eustathios’ homeric commentaries we find several quotations from euripidean fragmentary plays. An inquiry into both the textual tradition of fragments and their scholarly use would be useful in order to determine Euripides’ importance for the exegesis of ancient poets at the time of Eustathios.
