The article highlights the bureaucratic and daily difficulties of the Jewish Community of Rome right after the Liberation, when it had to deal with very pragmatic issues related to the hardships of war, such as the effects of the deportation, Jew's need to regain possession of their homes, and the difficulties in returning to work. In addition to the bibliography and archival records, the author also used especially collected oral histories.
