The essay draws a general presentation of the most crucial among the critical reflections on Albert Camus La Peste. Focusing particularly on the relationships between literature and philosophy, the text analyses, beyond the well-known Sarte and Deleuze’s positions, the interpretations elaborated on Camus by Jacques Derrida. In fact, like the novelist, this thinker was himself a “pied noir”, that is a French born in northern Africa. He was therefore deeply involved in the same culture of Camus.
