The aim of this paper is to present the results of a qualitative research that have involved some European Civil Experts, about current relationship between women and violent radicalization. After having defined the crucial concept of violent radicalization and discussed some evidences about current female violent Jihadism, findings of the qualitative are presented. In general, the opinions of our experts are divided into three positions: first: in radicalization process, gender is represented as a marginal dimension; Second: Gender is represented as climax between several contradictions of radicalization process; third: Gender as the “new frontier of terrorism”.
Obiettivo dell’articolo è presentare i risultati di una ricerca qualitativa condotta su esperti civili europei di terrorismo, relativamente alle relazione radicalizzazione e genere. Dopo aver definito il fondamentale concetto di radicalizzazione e discusso alcuni risultati concernenti le modalità contemporanee con le quali le donne entrano nella galassia Jihadista, sono discussi i risultati della ricerca. In generale, le opinioni degli intervistati possono essere divisi in tre gruppi: primo: nei processi di radicalizzazione, il genere è visto come una dimensione marginale; secondo: il genere è visto come punto culminante di numerose contraddizioni che caratterizzano i processi di radicalizzazione; terzo: le donne sono individuate come la “nuova frontiera del terrorismo”.
