La memoria nel Sal 77

The memory theme is crucial in Psalm 77. In fact, a careful textual analysis of the Psalm and an overlook of the root זכר in this text can confirm such a statement. The psalmist moves from a deep crisis of his faith (vv. 2-10) to a renewed praise to God (vv. 14-21) through his struggle for remembering the past deeds of God concerning his people. He can overcome his crisis only when he passes from subjective to collective memory (vv. 11-13). The Israel's memory is in the end the path through which the psalmist recovers his relation with God, even if His presence in history remains elusive.
