In an essay recently published in Italy entitled Topology of Violence, Byung‐Chul Han describes the protean nature of violence. A violence that insidiously and pervasively crosses contemporary society, a real society of performance. It is a violence produced by an “eccess of positivity” that manifests itself through overproduction, over‐communication and hyperactivity and that makes late modern individuals prisoners of a system that in the name of an illusory freedom forces them to exploit themselves.
