The essay deals the jurisdictional experiences of the Senate during the Albertine Statute age. It examines the articles 36, 37 and 47 of the Albertine Statute and also the doctrines about the Senate set up in the High Court of Justice. The essay is based on a research about the judicial sources kept in the Italian Historical Archive of the Senate. This research is a part of a larger research project about the statutory High Court of Justice in reference to the natural judge principle and to the political justice question.
