The article examines Mario Galizia’s Legal Thought and, in particular, his criticism of those Italian public law scholars who, after joining the Fascist regime, had set aside the principle of the separation of powers, as well as the ones of freedom and equality. The author emphasizes the penetrating concept of freedom in the legal perspective of Galizia, which is linked to the value of conceptual pluralism, to the problem of the inseparable relationship between constitutionalism and freedom, and to the value of the single subject as an individual.
