Based on a Framework Agreement signed with Roma Tre University, a major energy company at natonal level commissioned the Department of Architecture to draf a characterisaton of the building stock of the Lazio Region in terms of energy retroft potentals. This artcle describes the fndings of this study, including a summary of the regional scenario in terms of economy, policies and norms directly and indirectly related to energy programming and planning, and a descripton of the GIS-based method used for deriving the requested building stock analysis from the available data. For this research, the authors defned a number of indicators to describe the “marketability” of each spatal unit for the purposes of the installaton of domestc PV systems, including: density and type of buildings; number of sunshine hours in relaton to azimuth, slope and lattude; coverage of spatal planning restrictons; pres- ence of pitched roof; and locaton in terms of climate zones and geographic characteristcs.

Abstract
Based on a Framework Agreement signed with Roma Tre University, a major energy company at natonal level commissioned the Department of Architecture to draf a characterisaton of the building stock of the Lazio Region in terms of energy retroft potentals. This artcle describes the fndings of this study, including a summary of the regional scenario in terms of economy, policies and norms directly and indirectly related to energy programming and planning, and a descripton of the GIS-based method used for deriving the requested building stock analysis from the available data. For this research, the authors defned a number of indicators to describe the “marketability” of each spatal unit for the purposes of the installaton of domestc PV systems, including: density and type of buildings; number of sunshine hours in relaton to azimuth, slope and lattude; coverage of spatal planning restrictons; pres- ence of pitched roof; and locaton in terms of climate zones and geographic characteristcs.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
