This contribution would present and discuss the results of a survey developed during the “Students’ workshop for Cmap testing” at the University of Petra (Amman, Jordan) within the Erasmus + ENEPLAN project, coordinated by the Department of Architecture of Roma Tre University, involving 18 partners all over the Mediterranean and about 50 students from Lebanon, Jordan and Egypt. The ENEPLAN project and the workshop itself have faced the issue of energy planning in an integrated approach covering a variety of disciplines such as Engineering, Landscape, Planning, Technology, etc. Students were asked to answer and explain a list of questions about landscape, their perception and their knowledge about tools or strategies from their home countries. Furthermore, since the term “landscape” has not a specific translation in Arabic (Makhzoumi, 2010), they were also asked to give a personal definition of landscape. One of the goals of the survey was to understand the perception of landscape among youth in the Southern side of the Mediterranean. Due to their expertise, multidisciplinarity allowed having a broad range of results from the test, which enable to identify interest and even urgency to preserve and enhance knowledge about the complex theme of landscape.
