The aim of this study is to present some preliminary results of the proyect Historical Cartography and Geotechnologies. The Territorial dynamics of the Pontine Plain, between land and sea, designed and realized within the Geographical Laboratory “G. Caraci”. The article intends to underline the important role that cartography plays in rediscovering and promoting the historical territorial relevance and highlight how the organization, query and processing of geo-data reports (coming from the comparison and contextualization of different geohistorical sources), rappresent valid tools in cultural planning and territorial promotion projects.
