From the concept of urban poverty in cities, the paper aims to analyse the urban poverty that emerged in Rome during the health emergency. In the first part, urban poverty is analysed with reference to the data available before and after the pandemic. In the second part, the Italian welfare system is examined, as well as the public and private initiatives undertaken to deal with the economic and social problems caused by the health emergency and the possible welfare policies.
Partendo dal concetto di povertà urbana nelle città, il lavoro vuole analizzare la povertà urbana emersa nel Comune di Roma durante l’emergenza sanitaria. ella prima parte è analizzata la povertà urbana in riferimento ai dati disponibili, prima e dopo la pandemia. ella seconda sono esaminati il welfare italiano, le iniziative pubbliche e private intraprese, per fronteggiare le problematiche economiche e sociali causate dall’emergenza sanitaria, e le possibili politiche di welfare post-pandemiche.
