New acquisitions on Michelangelo Buonarroti writer (with news of a new autograph fragment) The paper aims to provide a recognition for locating the recent studies on Michelangelo Buonarroti. A new critical edition, edited by Antonio Corsaro and Giorgio Masi (M. Buonarroti, Rime e lettere, Bompiani, Mi­lano 2017), which recollects Michelangelo’s lyrics and letters, considering multiple criteria under a hierarchical structure; and Ambra Moroncini’s book (Michelangelo’s Poetry and Iconography in the Heart of the Refor­mation, Routledge, London-New York 2017), which makes clear the con­nections between Michelangelo and Sixteenth Century reformated theses, contributing to the identification of the correspondence exchanged with Vittoria Colonna and focusing on some sonnets. Moreover, the paper an­nounces the retrieving of a new autograph of Buonarroti, most likely co­ming from the closing of a letter.
