In 1661 after the last male descendent of Philip IV, Philip Prospero, passed away, the Hispanic Monarchy's territories joyful embraced the birth of Charles II. The celebration was quickly organized and the Court in Madrid honoured the delivery, which would repair the obvious succession problem. Due to the importance of this birth in the second half of 17th century, this paper aims to focus on the childbirth as a literary theme in two literary academies dedicated to the delivery.

Abstract
