This brief note illustrates a passage from Sacred and Legendary Art on Saint Catherine of Alexandria and Hypatia, by nineteenth-century art historian Anna Jameson. The author of the contribution suggests that Anna Jameson may have owned the Mystic Marriage of Saint Catherine of Alexandria, a painting attributed to Barna da Siena, nowadays housed at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.
