The religious freedom of the worker is limited by the company’s interest in neutrality policies. The balance between the two freedoms depends on the concept of secularism and anti-discrimination that the interpreter uses. In this context, the paper analyses the evolution of the CJEU's jurisprudence from 2017 to the ruling of July 15, 2021 (CJUE, Grand Chamber, Cases C-804/18, C-341/19, IX v. WABE e V e MH Müller Handels GmbH v. MJ,) in which the Court extends the protection of religious freedom, in disagreement with the Opinion of Advocate General Rantos.
