The "citizenship income", established in Italy in 2019, is analysed from the perspective of case management carried out through digital platforms by its actors, called navigators, together with the staff of employment services. The practice of case management has been progressively associated with the policies of matching labour supply and demand through digital platforms in a social policy, called welfare-to-work, in which unemployment benefits are linked to labour reintegration. Based on a social ethnography research that collected qualified testimonies from the actors involved in the processes, the article investigates current perspectives and limits of the integration between Welfare and the use of digital platforms in the process of digitization of active labour policies.
