Abstract
The pandemic is taking away freedom and creative spontaneity from the public space, sterilizing the city with protocols of distancing and inexhaustible cleansing of bodies and spaces, both sanitary and political. Indeed, this is a precise trend of the recent urban culture, widely before this epochal event, just finding in the emergency an unprecedented exasperation. Conversely, this could be the occasion for a radical overturning of the city, returning to reflect on its habitability in performative terms. This contribution recalls cardan positions of the second half of the twentieth century the looseness and charged void of Alison and Peter Smithson and the political and aesthetic dimension of sensuality in the urban landscapes of Anna and Lawrence Halprin – useful to give back to the city some salient features, threatened by the pandemic: the creativity of the misunderstanding form/function, the intense need for the unexpected, the enchantment of accidentalpleasures.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
