AbstractThis article aims to characterise the nominal derivatives formed from the allomorphic suffixes –al and –ar by adopting a lexicographical approach, based on the analysis of the treatment of these formations in two Spanish dictionaries: the Diccionario de la lengua española(DLE) and the diccionario de usoClave. The study is based on a lexicographical corpus consisting in 517 lemmas and is articulated in two parts: the first, with a metalexicographic orientation, analyses the system of crossreferences in the case of lexical doublets where the dictionaries include the two variants (in –al and in –ar); the second part, of a more theoretical nature, develops a lexico-semantic classification based on the componential analysis of the definitions of these forma-tions. The outlined model of analysis attempts to systematise the characterisation of this com-plex area of Spanish derivational morphology and to contribute to the advancement of re-search on the subject

Abstract
The outlined model of analysis attempts to systematise the characterisation of this com-plex area of Spanish derivational morphology and to contribute to the advancement of re-search on the subjectI documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
