The robots are becoming more and more common in everyday life. In the last years their use has also increasingly spread to the field of didactics, starting with their use as tools in STEM education. With the advancement of social robotics, the use of robots in didactics has been extended also to tutoring situations in which these “socially aware” robots interact with mainly the children. Educational robotics makes it possible to use new technologies in a reasoned way; there are no prohibitions, but answers to the students’ need to go “beyond”. Different studies demonstrated that robot are very attractive to children and their use makes learning easier, fun and motivating. In this paper we will give a brief overview of how robots have been used so far in different school cycles, especially in educational robotics labs, where students actively participate and interact with robot.
I robot stanno diventando sempre più comuni nella vita di tutti i giorni. Negli ultimi anni il loro uso si è sempre più diffuso anche nel campo della didattica, a partire dal loro utilizzo come strumenti nell'educazione STEM. Con lo sviluppo della robotica sociale, l'uso dei robot in didattica è stato esteso anche a situazioni di tutoraggio in cui questi robot “socialmente consapevoli” interagiscono con i bambini. La robotica educativa permette di utilizzare le nuove tecnologie in maniera ragionata; non ci sono divieti, ma risposte al bisogno degli studenti di andare “oltre”. Diversi studi hanno dimostrato che i robot esercitano un grandissimo fascino sui bambini e, il loro utilizzo rende più facile, divertente e motivante l’apprendimento. In questo articolo forniremo una breve panoramica di come i robot sono stati utilizzati finora nei vari cicli scolastici, soprattutto all’interno di laboratori di robotica educativa, nei quali gli studenti partecipano e interagiscono attivamente con i robot.
