The purpose is to give a first analysis of the new framework for the protection of EU citizens and workers in the United Kingdom, following Brexit. Against the background of the UK’s anti-European resentments on social matter, this paper will analyse the protection legal system for EU citizens by examining the rules in the Withdrawal and the Brexit Agreements. Secondly, it will probe the prospects post-Brexit for preserving the EU social heritage in the UK legal system.
