The pandemic highlighted the critical issues already present in our school for several years. However, this period of health emergency also represents an opportunity to redefine the role of the educational institution in social life and to ask ourselves what the future prospects of the education system are. Aim of the paper is to reflect on how the school can transform the current crisis into an opportunity for change, starting from the analysis of the initiative implemented by UNESCO (the Global Education Coalition) and focusing the perspectives to re-think the post-covid italian school, to ensure a quality education.
La pandemia ha messo in luce le criticità già presenti da diversi anni nella nostra scuola. Tuttavia, essa rappresenta anche l’occasione per ridefinire il ruolo dell’istituzione scolastica nella vita sociale e per interrogarci su quali sono le prospettive future del sistema educativo. Il paper ha l’obiettivo di riflettere su come la scuola può trasformare la crisi che sta vivendo in un’opportunità di cambiamento, partendo dall’iniziativa messa in campo dall’UNESCO con il Global Education Coalition e individuando le prospettive per ripensare la scuola post-covid nel nostro Paese, al fine di garantire un’educazione di qualità.
