This study deals with the different strategies of textual superimposition which characterize the structure of Tirso de Molina’s Cigarrales de Toledo. It will be shown that the imbricated novelistic segments are part of a narrative construction of a coordinative type, in which the act of novelising represents a cardinal element of its composition, contributing to homogenise the argumentative variety.
