Handwriting requires the mastery of multiple skills, including motor skills. In the calligraphic phase, the motor development has reached an adequate development and this pro-duces a more precise writing act. This paper focuses on a qualitative-quantitative research ac-tivity, which involved third graders; the comparison between control and experimental classes showed improvements in many aspects and in particular spelling improvements.

Abstract
