The neo-standard variety of Brazilian Portuguese has been undergoing a series of linguistic changes resulting in a gradual loss of the characteristics of a null-subject language (such as Italian or European Portuguese), thereby moving from a pro-drop to a partial pro-drop language. The present paper aims to investigate whether the increasing use of expressed subject pronouns in neo-standard BP can also be found in Brazilian Portuguese as a heritage language (PBLH). To achieve this aim, we will analyse the change of the pro-drop parameter (Duarte 1993, 1995, 1998, 2000) and the features of BP (Berlinck et al. 2009; Orsini 2020; Orsini, Vasco 2007; Vasco 2007).

Abstract
2009; Orsini 2020; Orsini, Vasco 2007; Vasco 2007).I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
