For a long time, young women received an education geared towards economics and domestic care in view of their destiny as wives and mothers. Their imaginary was thus restricted within these predetermined paths and tended to be formed through a literature made up of stereotyped models and roles, and the space of adventure and 'elsewhere' remained precluded to the female gender. Contemporary children's literature, despite the persistence, in some cases, of stereotypes and traditional models, has now also opened up for girls to self-exploration, to the theme of travel, real or imaginary, linked to adventure. The character of Mina undoubtedly belongs to this group of contemporary paper girls: strong, wise, tender, courageous, controversial, always eager to understand and discover, and this adults (certain teachers first) do not like. This contribution will attempt to investigate the aspects linked to the education of girls and young women through the example of characters such as the one created by the pen of David Almond.

Abstract
This contribution will attempt to investigate the aspects linked to the education of girls and young women through the example of characters such as the one created by the pen of David Almond.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
