The essay aims to show the internal dynamic of the pure Ego, situated on the boundary between immanence and transcendence. It will become clear how the Kan-tian verb 'accompany/begleiten' is used and at the same time transformed by Hus-serl through the use of two other verbs irradiate (strahlen) and exercise (sich betäti-gen). The pure Ego furthermore stands on the boundary between obscurity, on the one hand, and clarity and distinction, on the other. In this case, the pure Ego's con-nection to the multiplicity of consciousness concerns its ability to immerse itself in the acts sunk in inactuality. In this context, the limit experience of the pure Ego in-volves the original sleep and wakefulness and the investigation of the unconscious.
