The article aims to investigate the condition of children involved in the tragedy of the russian-ukrainian conflict. The right to childhood, recognized and defended by the numerous conventions and declarations issued during the Twentieth century, is here completely obscured by the paradox of war’s violence, which is the expression of an overall human degeneration. Considering the childhood, for the human being the need for self-care can be actualized through an education careful to the dimensions and languages of the world of children. So, fantasy becomes one of the possible spaces for listening and dialogue, that are premises for a renewed project of existence. The pedagogical regard towards the self-formative authenticity of each child and his rights to life, freedom, and peace can open in him the recovery of the original human feeling.

Abstract
The article aims to investigate the condition of children involved in the tragedy of the russian-ukrainian conflict. The right to childhood, recognized and defended by the numerous conventions and declarations issued during the Twentieth century, is here completely obscured by the paradox of war’s violence, which is the expression of an overall human degeneration. Considering the childhood, for the human being the need for self-care can be actualized through an education careful to the dimensions and languages of the world of children. So, fantasy becomes one of the possible spaces for listening and dialogue, that are premises for a renewed project of existence. The pedagogical regard towards the self-formative authenticity of each child and his rights to life, freedom, and peace can open in him the recovery of the original human feeling.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
