Abstract
After several years of gestation the environmental history is currently an academic field with recognized relevance as an investigation and education area in many Latin American countries. The article makes a reading about the development of this field in the region and identifies three aspects which have characterized the literature published in Latin America: first, the theories and methods of Latin American environmental history; second, the cultural reading of the environmental history; finally, the analysis of the relationship between territorial expansion, exported goods, and new learning from 1870 to 1930.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
