Il sistema di annotazione di Boccaccio: tipologie di glosse e questioni ecdotiche (con una proposta per il Decameron)

An overview of the manuscripts annotated by Boccaccio is provided, defining a typological classification of the glosses and evaluating the criteria that have been adopted in their most recent critical editions. The examination focuses specifically on those glosses in which Boccaccio includes variants, conjectu- res and corrections, whether in the margins of his own texts or those of other authors. A clearer understanding of Boccaccio’s annotation system makes it possible to reconsider five passages of the Decameron and to offer new ecdotic proposals for the last redaction of the text.
