The article proposes an investigation of the disciplinary border territories between musical practices and the creative reuse of archives in the context of contemporary digital culture. The focus is on the 2000s towards works created in the European and North American context that transcode musical logic and practices into audiovisual language. Particular consideration is given to the concept of sampling and the historical and theoretical formulations of plunderphonics and electronic and electroacoustic music, in particular in their nostalgic and anachronistic derivation, such as hauntology, sampledelia and vaporwave culture.
