La giustizia irriverente. Iconografie e teorie sul diritto "ingiusto", in Costituzionalismo.it, Fascicolo 2/2025

This article outlines a theoretical and iconographic journey through representations of law and “unjust” justice. Starting from a qualitative methodology based on the analysis of certain images and the meaning of the concept of “symbolic universes”, it traces a path that ranges from the earliest forms of denunciation linked to the symbolic of the blindfold, to satirical drawings against the Ancien Régime circulating during the French Revolution, and finally to the satirical representations by Daumier during the Restoration. Through the images and the socio-historical reconstruction of the periods examined, it demonstrates the different perceptions of law and justice held by social classes, as well as the bourgeois origin of law conceived as one power among others.
