The paper explores gender-based violence to identify practices to counter the phenomenon through the analysis of a case study: the Center for Authors of Violence. Initially, the sociocultural context is analyzed in all its complexity. Men who commit acts of violence are conditioned by the logic of male domination exercised in a patriarchal context, in which violence is a manifestation of power. Subsequently, the peculiarities of the case study and the detection techniques used are illustrated. The information obtained is then analyzed to highlight critical issues of the mission and processes activated for the implementation of the project. In conclusion, some useful considerations for the design and implementation of similar services are highlighted, emphasizing the importance of prevention and training measures to combat the phenomenon.
