Abstract
Contemporary Archetypes At the beginning of the thirteenth century, in Anatolia, the Seljuks began to restore some routes in the wake of a new commercial policy due to the transition from a nomadic to a sedentary culture. Within this dense territorial redesign program, the construction of buildings to accommodate travelers and the control of routes played a central role and, despite through time most of these buildings were neglected, the model of the caravanserai represents a fertile cause for reflection, also, and perhaps above all, if we turn our gaze towards the contemporary world.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
