This study explores the integration of Web-Arabic and Computer-Mediated Communication (cmc) into the Arabic curriculum at Roma Tre University. By working with authentic digital texts – such as social media posts, blogs, and Arabizi – the course aims to expand learners’ exposure to the diversity of Arabic as used in real-world digital communication. The approach fosters not only lexical development and digital literacy, but also a deeper awareness of linguistic variation and its pedagogical implications.
