Essere Fuorinorma. Dieci anni di attività (2013-2023)

The article reconstructs the historical path of the cultural event Fuorinorma curated by Adriano Aprà from its first appearance as a special event within the Pesaro International Film Festival in 2013 to its latest edition held in 2023 as an expanded festival in Rome. The aim is to contextualize the role played by the event within the promotion in the history of contemporary Italian cinema of a neo-experimental trend, which proposes a stylistic, productive and distributive alternative to the cinematographic industrial norms. The essay delves into the militancy value of cultural activities and investigates their social and anthropological implications in the context of spectator practices and audiovisual consumption.
