The training of primary school teachers is a complex and widely debated topic on a pedagogical-educational and political-parliamentary level, and an indicator of the role and socio-cultural purposes assigned to the school in different historical moments. On that topic Giorgio Gabrielli, within the teaching category, played a significant role and worked actively, in the first time, for the implementation of the Gentile Reform (1923), then for the elementary school programs drawn up by the commission chaired by Washburne (1945), and finally for the Ermini Programs (1955).

Abstract
The training of primary school teachers is a complex and widely debated topic on a pedagogical-educational and political-parliamentary level, and an indicator of the role and socio-cultural purposes assigned to the school in different historical moments. On that topic Giorgio Gabrielli, within the teaching category, played a significant role and worked actively, in the first time, for the implementation of the Gentile Reform (1923), then for the elementary school programs drawn up by the commission chaired by Washburne (1945), and finally for the Ermini Programs (1955).I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
