It has been measured the amount of vibrations transmitted to the whole body and of the noise for the driver of the wheel loader CAT 988H working in a travertino quarry in Tivoli. These measures has been taken with the purpose of verifying that the driver working conditions are ideal for next studies on the simultaneous effect in the pathogenesis of the hearing damage to simultaneous exposure to noise and vibrations through the whole body. The studies have been going on for a working week without altering the working conditions. For the compilation of data acquired from the measures has been used software NOISE AND VIBRATION WORKS. From the results given we evince that the LEX, 8h on working 8h are substantially low (below 75 dB (A)) apart from few pitches in a small measure (below131dB (C)). Whereas have been reported levels of vibrations quite high, characterized by high transient vibration. In conclusion, this machine is highly acoustically insulated but transmits a large amount of vibration to the whole driver body.
