This paper aims at analyzing the semantics of Latin relative clauses (henceforth RCs). After featuring a possible classification of Latin RCs from a crosslinguistic perspective, the difference between restrictiveness and nonrestrictiveness and its applicability to Latin are examined. The concept of maximalization is then introduced and applied to correlatives, circumnominal, and free Latin RCs.

Abstract
This paper aims at analyzing the semantics of Latin relative clauses (henceforth RCs). After featuring a possible classification of Latin RCs from a crosslinguistic perspective, the difference between restrictiveness and nonrestrictiveness and its applicability to Latin are examined. The concept of maximalization is then introduced and applied to correlatives, circumnominal, and free Latin RCs.File in questo prodotto:
