The paper presents the preliminary results of a research, still in progress, aimed to verify the potentialities of the integration among services of combined accompanied railway transport (Rolling Highway) and maritime services ro-ro for the reduction of the critical situations in the accessibility to the harbours in urban areas. An hypothesis of service among the harbour of Genoa and the south of Germany has been analyzed.
